This 2-way experienced tight end/ defensive end played a key role as the starting TE for the Churchill Chargers run to our state plays as a junior last fall, competing in San Antonio's in highly regarded District
26-5A play. A starting DE for his J.V. squad as a soph, Garrett spent 100% of his playing time in spring ball last April on the offensive side of the ball, splitting time between TE & H-back mainly for blocking chores.
At 6' 2"- 200lbs, #87 combines his solid 270lb bench & 375 squat strengths with his 4.85/40yd speed to be a very qualified TE/DE college recruit heading into his senior 5A campaign, and looks to improve in all areas before his August 30th opener w/ cross town rival Clark H.S. Mainly utilized as an o-line blocker at TE last fall, Garrett was credited with 20 pancakes, 61 chops & 3 TD blocks, and 50% of the rushes following him.

As tall as this athletic 6' 2"- 200lb'er has already stood out on the football fields heading into his senior year, he is also very focused on his classroom work as well. Through his junior year, Garrett is carrying a near perfect 4.0 GPA, including 12 honors classes to date, is ranked in the top 15% of his large 670 student class & scored 24 on the ACT.
