* Athletic Accomplishments *
This decorated 6’ 1” – 245# down lineman has been named Unanimous 1st Team All-District Defensive Tackle as both a junior and a senior, as well as receiving All-District honors as only a sophomore, competing in one of the top 4A football districts in So. Texas. Definitely the defensive leader returning for the Cardinals this fall, John was the anchor on the defensive line and also saw some time at fullback as well.
|
* Statistics & Skills *
#51 was a team leader all fall, recording 104 tackles with 54 TFL’s, 13 fumbles caused, 7 recovered, and 9 ½ sacks! As a junior, he was credited with 82 tackles, including 31 solos and 51 assists, as well as 3 fumbles caused, 2 recovered, 32 TFL’s, and 8 big sacks on the year. Equally a monster in his sophomore season, he recorded 98 total tackles, including 33 solos, 2 fumbles caused and 2 recovered, 36 TFL’s, and 5 QB sacks.

* Academic Accomplishments *
As tall as our 245lb down lineman stands out on the football field, he’s equally focused in the classroom on his studies. John carries a solid 3.2 GPA, including 12 big honors classes, ranking him 128th in his class of 306 students, and scored 1200 on his SAT, including 480/ math and 350/ verbal.
